'Mock' International Kata Competition on Saturday 9th July

Junanahon no kata – Randori no kata; Goshin no kata – koryu dai san

In this third seminar, students will present their katas for adjudication and refinement in a ‘mock’ kata competition. We will continue to look at and refine presentation, have fun and improve understanding and performance.

I will ask other senior Sensei’s to come along and flag you as you compete, you will also get the chance to flag each other so you can see what you like and are impressed by and what you are not.
Everyone will get lots of chances to work on and present their katas.

All participants must hold recognised insurance and be able to take ukemi (breakfalls)!

Time: 1.30 – 4.30pm
Venue: Ittaikan Aikido Club: Peace Park, Dorset Gardens, Brighton  BN2 1RL
Fees:  £5.00

Other training also available that day:-

  • You can then do our 7-8am saturday morning class too.
  • Mock International will be followed by our regular Saturday class (4.30 – 6.30pm): weapons practice / randori training.

If players want to stay overnight to sample the fun that is Brighton, there are lots of places to stay…make a weekend of it!!
