Under 18’s – Embu and Randori Seminar

A quick thought….. it’s no coincidence that the likes of Laura Beardsmore, Christian Kirkham, Tim and Gitte Wolput, Steve Evans, Danielle Jones and Vanda Fairchild were all coached at an early age, competed as Juniors and went on to become superb World Champions.

So following on from the success of the under 18’s Randori seminar in October run by Christian Kirkham and Steve Evans and the Tanseikan Junior Funday in November, Tanseikan Aikido Club are pleased invite all aspiring Aikidoka who are under 18 (and their coaches) to an Embu and Randori seminar which will be held on Sunday 29th January 2012 from 11-3.

Vanda Fairchild and David Fielding will run the seminar, which will focus on the kind of mind set, preparation and Squad level practice and drills young Aikidoka will need to accomplish if they wish to become champions. There will also be an opportunity for mock competitive Embu and Hikitategeiko bouts.

The venue is kindly provided by Sensei’s Bob Docherty and John Cullerne. The address is Winchester College, College Street, Winchester SO23 9NA. The Dojo is in the sports hall on Kingsgate Street on the left hand side of the road, directly opposite the Science School. There will be plenty of parking available. http://www.winchestercollege.org/how-to-find-us.

The mat fee is £8 and Aikidoka must bring their BAA or SAUK membership to sign. Please bring a packed lunch and plenty of drinks. Adults and family members are very welcome to watch. There will be no charge for Adult coaches, who are very welcome to come on the mat and assist on the day.
